According to The Mirror, Liverpool are set to tee up two deals with Harvey Elliott which will see him commit through to 2025.
It’s claimed that Elliott will sign his first professional contract at the beginning of July, and will be given chances to impress when the Premier League returns.
That deal will initially be for three years. However, Liverpool will then be able to extend that by another two years as soon as he turns 18 in April 2021, making this something of a two-pronged deal to keep him long-term.
Elliott needs just four more Premier League appearances to pick up a winner’s medal. If Liverpool have wrapped up the title early, Jurgen Klopp may well give Elliott those games.
It seems clear that Liverpool rate Elliott highly – and why wouldn’t they? Liverpool committed to spending millions on Elliott when they lured him from Fulham last year.
The fee hasn’t been settled yet, with a tribunal to come. He has only just turned 17, but he has already been given seven first-team appearances for Liverpool.

With four goals and nine assists in age-restricted games, Elliott has enjoyed a strong first season.
Klopp even branded him a ‘special player’ after he impressed against Milton Keynes Dons back in September, as quoted by This Is Anfield.
It now seems that Liverpool are committed to bringing him through over the coming years, in what will no doubt excite Reds fans.
