German outlet Bild claim Liverpool could secure the signing of Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund by offering the Bundesliga club a player-plus-cash deal – a move that would see Naby Keita move in the opposite direction.
Bellingham, 19, is fresh from winning the man-of-the-match award during England’s 3-3 draw with Germany. He now returns, as he looks to continue his superb start to the season for Dortmund – where he has played 100 times.
But Bellingham might end up permanently residing in England next summer. The race is hotting up for the 17-time England international. Reports claim he could be available if clubs are willing to pay Dortmund a huge £83m up top.
Both Chelsea and Liverpool want Bellingham – but new reports today claim he would rather go to Real Madrid. But Bild say that Liverpool could blow everyone out the water by including Keita in a deal for Bellingham – with Dortmund keen.

Indeed, Keita is out of contract at the end of the season. Dortmund would love to sign Liverpool’s no.8 and Liverpool would love to sign Bellingham. So, Bild say that the two parties could come to a deal involving Keita for Bellingham.

It is a race that is incredibly difficult to predict the result. Manchester City have the spending power, but perhaps do not need a midfielder as much as Liverpool, Chelsea or Real Madrid. The Reds have been strongly linked with him.
The Reds need a bit of energy in midfield. Thiago, Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, James Milner – they are all experienced players now. A bit of younger enthusiasm is where Liverpool need to turn to. But Madrid need it more so.
Luka Modric and Toni Kroos have a combined age of 69. They need replacing and while Madrid already have Edouard Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni, including Bellingham would set Madrid up for years. Anfield, London, or Madrid?
