Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is out of contract in 2022.

According to The Mirror, Liverpool’s owners fear they may lose boss Jurgen Klopp to the German national team when his current contract expires.
Klopp has overseen a remarkable turnaround at Anfield in the last four years, reaching successive Champions League final – winning one – and turning Liverpool into regular Premier League title contenders.
Liverpool unsurprisingly want to keep him with the club long term, but he has so far rebuffed the club’s contract offers, suggesting he will take a sabbatical when his time at Liverpool is over.
Now though, with Klopp’s big ambition of being Germany manager one day, the Fenway Sports Group are allegedly concerned he could go and take that job when his deal ends.
Current Germany boss Joachim Loew has been in the post for 13 years now, and is contracted until 2022, which may just align well with Klopp.
Klopp’s current deal ends in 2022 as well, meaning he could have a real shot at landing the Germany job if he does want it, possibly after the 2022 World Cup.

Klopp tends to spend seven years in jobs; seven years at Mainz, seven years at Dortmund, and 2022 would take him to seven years at Liverpool before moving on.
There’s no real need to panic for Liverpool just yet, and this shouldn’t be seen as attempting to destabilise a relentless Reds side, but after seven years in his previous jobs, that 2022 date may well be when Klopp decides to go elsewhere; possibly back to Germany with the national team.
