According to Mundo Deportivo, Liverpool are interested in signing Lorenzo Pellegrini, who Barcelona and Atlético Madrid are also eyeing.
What’s the story?
Well, the Spanish news outlet state that Pellegrini has a €30 million (£26 million) release clause in his contract with Roma.
Jürgen Klopp is keen to bring him to Anfield as a replacement for Gini Wijnaldum, who is close to joining Paris Saint-Germain.
Barcelona have already made an offer for the 24-year-old’s services, but are reluctant to meet the £26 million asking price.
Why? Well, the 17-cap Italy international only has a year left on his contract, so Roma aren’t in the best negotiating position.
Mundo Deportivo believe Pellegrini isn’t currently interested in signing a new deal.

As a result, Roma must sell now, or risk losing him for absolutely nothing in 2022.
What type of player is Pellegrini?
You might not know much about Roma’s No.7 and captain.
If that is the case, then the fact he’s been compared to Roma and Italy legend Francesco Totti might help you understand what type of player he is.
Additionally, Mundo Deportivo do a good job of describing him within their article.

The Spanish news outlet describe Pellegrini as a powerful and technical midfielder, who is also very dynamic and uses both feet well.
Mundo Deportivo also write that the Liverpool target has a very good shot with his right foot, and can play in a number of different positions.
By all accounts, Pellegrini would be a brilliant signing for the Reds.
