Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are ready to pay €40 million (£35.27 million) to sign Gabri Veiga in the summer transfer window, according to a report.
Liverpool ready to pay £35m for Gabri Veiga
AS have reported that Liverpool are interested in signing Veiga from Celta de Vigo in the summer transfer window.
The former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners are reportedly willing to pay the 20-year-old Spanish midfielder’s release clause.
A number of other clubs are also keen on Veiga, including Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City.
Former Liverpool star Jose Enrique believes that the youngster would be “perfect” for Liverpool owners FSG.

HITC Verdict: Liverpool should think twice
In our view, Liverpool should not rush into making a decision over Gabri Veiga.
A transfer fee of £35 million for a 20-year-old is a lot of money.
Yes, we know that Liverpool need dynamic midfielders who can also score goals, but Veiga is just 20.
For £35 million, Liverpool could find more established and more mature midfielders.
Now, of course, Veiga could develop into a superb player in the coming years, but Liverpool have to think of midfielders who can make an impact right now.
Veiga has made 18 starts and seven substitute appearances in La Liga for Celta so far this season.
The youngster has scored nine goals and given three assists in those games.
