Liverpool are now ready to make their move for Timo Werner, according to The Sunday Post (print edition, page 72).

Werner is believed to be Liverpool’s top target, and it seems that a bid could be incoming now.

Liverpool are still negotiating over a price with Leipzig, but it seems that an offer for the £50 million man (Express) is set to be made sooner rather than later.

Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of Werner and is said to have held ‘several calls’ with the German international now.

Werner, himself, has also reportedly set his heart on a move to Anfield, as he is feels it is the best step for his career.

Liverpool could need to raise funds to bring in Werner, but they do have the likes of Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren and Xherdan Shaqiri up for grabs.

If the Reds sell the trio that could fund a move for Werner.

The rapid forward has blasted in a huge amount of goals in Germany this term and if he could recreate that form in a Liverpool shirt he would be a wonderful addition to Klopp’s team.
