Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain moving to join Liverpool this summer is now a real possibility.

According to the Independent, Liverpool are now likely to sign Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal this summer.

The Gunners are said to be preparing to offload a number of players, and Oxlade-Chamberlain is reportedly the most likely to depart.

Liverpool are the closest to getting a deal over the line for the England international.

The Reds are said to be having to pay around £25 million for the Arsenal midfielder.

Oxlade-Chamberlain’s career has stalled at Arsenal in recent times, and he struggled to break into Arsene Wenger’s starting line-up last season.

The 23-year-old actually had a strong end to the campaign, but had previously largely been used as a substitute.

Jurgen Klopp feels that he can develop Oxlade-Chamberlain at Anfield though, and a move to Merseyside is now said to be a real possibility.

Oxlade-Chamberlain would reportedly be used as a central-midfielder, if he was to move to Liverpool.
