Liverpool are said to be considering making a move for Pau Torres, by the Daily Mail.
Liverpool have been heavily linked with Ibrahima Konate of RB Leipzig in the last 24 hours, but it seems that the club actually have a shortlist featuring multiple names.
Torres, who currently plays for Villarreal, is also said to be on Liverpool’s wishlist.
And if he was signed by Jurgen Klopp’s side then he could be an extremely appealing addition.
A key characteristic Liverpool seem to be looking for in any defender that they sign is pace, and Torres has that in abundance.
La Razon reported earlier this season that Torres is the fastest defender in Spain.

The 24-year-old has also been hailed as ‘terrific’ by Santi Cazorla (Marca), while Villarreal boss Unai Emery said he was better than any defender he worked with at Arsenal (Football London).
Those comments should serve to make the potential transfer even more appealing to Liverpool.
And if the Reds were to bring him in, the signs are that he could be a wonderful addition to their squad.
