Liverpool will reportedly focus their attentions elsewhere in the January transfer window.

According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool will focus on other areas of their team ahead of the centre of defence in the January transfer window.

The Reds’ back-line has come in for heavy criticism this season, with them currently having conceded the most goals of all the top four sides.

Sunday afternoon saw them in particularly poor form as they threw away a 3-1 lead against Bournemouth, losing 4-3.

As a result it has been suggested that manager Jurgen Klopp may look to improve that area of his team in the January transfer window.

However, it seems that will not be the case, at least according to the latest report from the Daily Mail.

The newspaper claims that the Reds do not see the centre of defence as an issue that needs addressing and will instead prioritise improving other areas of the team.

One of those areas they target could be left-back, with James Milner having filled the position this season but not a long-term solution.

They could also look for another forward, especially with Sadio Mane set to miss some of January when he travels to the Africa Cup of Nations.
