According to The Daily Star, Liverpool are among the clubs who are going to miss out on Sunderland youngster Joe Hugill to bitter rivals Manchester United.

It has been reported that Liverpool are among a number of clubs who are interested in signing Hugill from Sunderland in the summer transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Everton, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leeds United also want the 16-year-old striker, but the teenager is going to United instead, according to the report.

It has been reported that United have agreed to pay Sunderland an initial transfer fee of £250,000 for the youngster, who will receive a weekly salary of £1,200.

The report has added that Hugill’s deal at United will kick in when he turns 17 in October and becomes a full-time professional.

Good move for Joe Hugill?

Hugill is a very talented and promising young player who has reportedly got the chance of a lifetime.

United are a massive club and are a global brand, and if the teenager does well in the youth team and progresses well, then he could get the chance to turn out for the senior side.
