The Liverpool midfielder says he is enjoying his time on Merseyside and is ready to sign a new long-term contract.
Emre Can has told Omnisport that he could sign a new contract at Liverpool, after revealing that talks have already taken place between his agent and the club.
The 22-year-old also stated that he is enjoying his time at Liverpool since joining from Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2014.
Can’s current contract at Anfield will expire in 2018, but due to his outstanding performances for the Reds this season, talks have already begun about extending the Germany international’s stay on Merseyside.

The midfielder told Omnisport: “Yes, the club have spoken to my agent. The talks are going very good.
“I have one-and-half-years left. I am still under contract and it is my agent’s work. I am very happy here at Liverpool.”
Can’s performances this season has seen him become a regular for manager Jurgen Klopp despite missing the start to the campaign with an ankle injury.

The 22-year-old is known for his defensive prowess, but he was one of the scorers in Sunday’s 6-1 thrashing of Watford in the Premier League.
That result saw Liverpool climb above Chelsea to the top of the table heading into the November international break as they extended their unbeaten run to eight matches in English football’s top flight.
