The Reds are reportedly interested in the Inter Milan midfielder.
Chile midfielder Gary Medel
According to Italian newspaper Corriere Della Sera, Liverpool have made an offer to Inter Milan for Gary Medel.
The Reds have been busy this summer, as Jurgen Klopp has brought seven new players into Anfield.
The defence has seen particular improvement with Ragnar Klavan and Joel Matip both arriving to improve the German’s options in that department.

There are still doubts though with their 4-3 win over Arsenal on Sunday showing that the defensive side of their game may need further improvement.
And it seems that the Reds boss is looking for more defensive options too as Corriere Della Sera report an interest in Gary Medel.
It was reported by Calciomercato last month that Klopp had personally scouted the Chilean midfielder at the Copa America and according to the newspaper, Liverpool have stepped that up with an offer for his services.

A move for Medel is likely to rest on what happens with Lucas Leiva in this transfer window.
The Brazilian has been linked with an exit after finding himself down the pecking order last season.
Should he depart, then a move for Medel as a replacement in that defensive midfield position would certainly make sense.
