Liverpool, whose neighbours Everton are also said to be keen on Tymon, have been playing James Milner out of position this season.
Liverpool have entered the running for Hull City left-back Josh Tymon, according to the Sun.
The Reds, who have been playing midfielder James Milner out of position this season, are said to have made Tymon a top target having watched the 17-year-old in Hull’s 2-1 EFL Cup win at Bristol City last week.

However, the report claims that Liverpool face stiff competition from neighbours Everton, as well as Premier League title rivals Arsenal.
According to the Daily Mirror, Everton are planning a January move for Tymon, who has made only four appearances for Hull City’s first team.
The Toffees have faced left-back problems of their own this season, with Leighton Baines’ injury leading to Bryan Oviedo taking his place. However, Luke Garbutt is scheduled to return to Goodison Park from Wigan Athletic in January.

Liverpool meanwhile are desperately short of options beyond Milner, with out-of-favour Spaniard Alberto Moreno their only natural left-back at senior level.
And the Reds may have the upper hand on Tymon, with Everton likely to have been impressed by Brendan Galloway’s performances on loan to West Brom.
