Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will not sell Manchester United target Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the summer transfer window, according to The Express.
Liverpool will keep Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
The Express are reporting this morning that Liverpool have decided that they will keep Oxlade-Chamberlain in the squad for next season.
The report has claimed that the Reds were preparing to offload the former Southampton player this summer, but they have now changed their mind.
The former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners are unlikely to bring in a new central midfielder this summer, and the former Arsenal star will remain part of manager Jurgen Klopp’s plans.
The Express have added that the £125,000-a-week (SalarySport) midfielder is open to leaving Liverpool this summer and will assess any offers that come for him.

ESPN reported in May that Liverpool are willing to sell Oxlade-Chamberlain this summer.
TalkSPORT reported in June that Manchester United are considering a move for the former Arsenal midfielder and are open to signing Oxlade-Chamberlain – described as “dynamite” by Klopp on Liverpool’s official website in November 2017 – if they can get him for £10 million.
Sensible decision
In our view, Liverpool’s stance on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is sensible.
The Reds need cover in central midfield and need a big squad to compete for the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League next season.
The midfielder may not get to play regularly, but he could still do a very good job.
