Liverpool have been linked with Marco Asensio in 2018.
According to Diario Gol, Liverpool-linked Marco Asensio will leave Real Madrid if the Spanish giants sign Neymar this summer.
The reigning European champions are rumoured to be interested in the Paris Saint-Germain star, who joined the French giants from Barcelona last summer.
The Sun reported earlier this week that Real will offer a staggering £307 million to PSG, which is £44 million over his release clause.
Neymar’s arrival wouldn’t be good for the Liverpool-linked Spanish winger, who is already on the periphery of regular football in Madrid, having come off the bench on 22 occasions last season.
And Diario Gol reckons that signing the Brazilian could make the 22-year-old want to leave, which could be good news for Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.
The same publication reported in February that Asensio had an offer from the Reds to join them, but it seems unlikely that he’ll be joining the Anfield club this summer.
Asensio is clearly a very special talent and, at 22, he will only get better, though time will tell where he’ll be plying his trade in the long term.
