Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren is reportedly wanted by AC Milan.

According to Calciomercato, AC Milan have received ‘unexpected signals’ from Liverpool that they are reluctant to sell defender Dejan Lovren.
Lovren, 30, has now spent five years at Anfield having been signed by Brendan Rodgers in 2014, but it’s fair to say that his time with the Reds has been a little mixed.
After billing himself as one of the best defenders in the world last summer, Lovren only managed 18 appearances for Liverpool last season, and is attracting interest from AC Milan.
Calciomercato report that Liverpool had been willing to let Lovren go earlier this summer, but Milan have now received ‘unexpected signals’ that Jurgen Klopp isn’t so keen on letting him go after all.
Liverpool may subsequently demand up to €25million (£22.4million) for Lovren, and whilst the total package is a little much for Milan given his high wages too, they’re still interested in a deal.
Lovren’s injuries last season mean Liverpool may well have been tempted to cash in, but the Croatian international does still have an important role to play.

Joe Gomez is young and injury-prone, whilst new signing Sepp van den Berg is only a kid, so having a wily veteran around like Lovren just brings important depth to a key area for Klopp.
With two years left on his deal, Liverpool are under no pressure to sell Lovren any time soon, and with club seemingly valuing his experience, Milan may find a deal a little more difficult than they first thought.
