It was claimed that Clyne was unhappy at Liverpool and had been offered to Barcelona.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool have been left baffled by reports that Nathaniel Clyne was offered to Barcelona.
In a surprise report from The Sunday Times this weekend it was claimed the Reds defender was unhappy under manager Jurgen Klopp.
They reported that he was not pleased with his status in the squad and as a result wanted to leave after just a year at the club.

Indeed it was believed he had already been offered out to La Liga champions Barcelona but they rejected the chance to sign the England international.
According to the Liverpool Echo however, Liverpool have been left baffled by the claims and insist that Clyne will not be going anywhere this summer.
The newspaper reports that the full-back is highly rated by Klopp and is seen is a key part of his plans for the side moving forward.

It certainly would have been surprising to see Clyne leave Liverpool this summer given how well he has performed since arriving from Southampton.
He made 52 appearances in all competitions last season, and this latest update shows an exit is unlikely at any point in the next few years at least.
