According to Defensa Central, Real Madrid’s interest in Denis Zakaria has faded leaving Liverpool and Manchester United leading the queue.
The Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder has been tipped for a summer move.
A recent report in Bild claims Zakaria has changed representation to LIAN Sports Agency which has further sparked speculation of a summer switch.

Real Madrid are mentioned as suitors alongside Premier League leaders Liverpool.
But the latest reports from the Spanish capital claim Los Blancos’ interest has faded.
The Madrid editorial say Zakaria’s knee injury suffered in March has impacted their plans. Moreover, the La Liga giants are pushing to sign Eduardo Camavinga.
Zinedine Zidane’s side must strengthen their midfield. Toni Kroos and Luka Modric are both in their thirties, while Casemiro has lacked support this term.
Zakaria, 23, had started 22 Bundesliga games prior to his season-ending injury.
The holding midfielder’s contract with Gladbach expires in 2022. He doesn’t have a release clause, and Bild add that his side will want around £40 million for him.
Liverpool will not want to rest on their laurels despite their Premier League domination.
The Reds suffered Champions League and FA Cup exits prior to the Covid-19 suspension. Both eliminations came when Fabinho and Jordan Henderson struggled with fitness.
Jurgen Klopp may see another midfielder as a priority this summer. Zakaria is young, energetic and comfortable on the ball – traits that would fit in well at Anfield.
