Liverpool are showing keen interest in Sheffield United’s exciting attacking midfielder.
The 20-year-old attacker joined the Blades’ youth set up in 2014 after spending a long period of his childhood in Manchester City’s academy.
He made his debut in a 0-0 draw with Leicester’s Under-23 in the Checkatrade Trophy last season, and was handed his first start for the club in the same competition.
He further made two cup appearances in 2016-17, but has been playing a more prominent role in Chris Wilder’s side this season.
He has made nine appearances for the club in the Championship this season already, and produced some eye-catching performances.
Brooks was given the man-of-the-match award following a brilliant performance in United’s 4-2 win over their local rivals.
He is an energetic young player, with loads of skill and good technical ability. His impressive performances didn’t go unnoticed, and has been included in Wales’ 23-man squad for the final two World Cup qualifiers.
The Sheffield United manager has made it clear that Premier League clubs should forget about signing Brooks in the January transfer window, as he is happy at Bramall Lane.
The report claims that Sheffield are ready to offer him a new contract. Brooks has already penned a new deal earlier this year, but another new deal is under consideration.
