Liverpool are interested in signing Gleison Bremer from Torino in the summer of 2021, according to The Mirror.

It has been reported that the defending Premier League champions have made the 23-year-old central defender their top summer transfer target.

Liverpool reportedly see the Brazilian as a defender who will complement Virgil van Dijk when the Netherlands international is back from his knee injury.

The report has added that Torino are expecting offers for the 23-year-old centre-back in the summer of 2021 and value him at less than £10 million.

Would Gleison Bremer be a good signing for Liverpool?

Liverpool signed Ben Davies from Preston North End and Ozan Kabak on loan from Schalke on transfer deadline day, but it seems that the Reds are still on the hunt for a new centre-back.

The Athletic described Bremer as ‘a great reader of the game and aggressive in stepping up to intercept the ball’ while going an extensive analysis on the defender in October 2020.

The youngster has scored three goals in 18 Serie A matches for Torino so far this season, and scored three goals and gave one assist in 27 league games in 2019-20, according to WhoScored.

For less than £10 million, it would not be a bad idea for Liverpool to bring in the 23-year-old.
