Liverpool are believed to be interested in signing Karim Benzema from Real Madrid, if Kylian Mbappe makes the switch to join Zinedine Zidane’s side.

According to the Daily Mirror, Liverpool have shown an interest in signing Real Madrid Karim Benzema, as they feel he could be made available this summer.

Madrid are hoping to complete a record breaking deal to bring Monaco forward Kylian Mbappe to the Bernabeu this summer.

And if Los Blancos are able to complete a deal for Mbappe, Benzema is likely to lose his place in Zinedine Zidane’s starting line-up.

Liverpool reportedly feel that Benzema could, therefore, be tempted with a move to Anfield.

Liverpool would likely to have to spend big to land the 29-year-old forward, but his arrival would significantly strengthen Jurgen Klopp’s attacking options.

The Reds have Champions League football to contend with again next term, and want more additions before the new season starts.

Liverpool’s most notable signing of the summer so far has been to bring in Mohamed Salah from Roma.

If Benzema was to arrive at Liverpool, he would be in competition with the likes of Roberto Firmino, Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi for a place in Klopp’s starting line-up.
