Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing the Augsburg ace.

According to a report from Spanish media outlet Sport, Liverpool are currently in talks with the agent of Philipp Max regarding a potential swoop for the Augsburg defender.
The three-capped Germany international left-back is vastly experienced, having made 281 career club appearances, and he is a very dependable defender.
Max is a tenacious tackler, and he would provide great competition for Andy Robertson at Liverpool.
The German has further strings to his bow, however.
He can also operate as a left midfielder and even a left winger, and that kind of versatility will undoubtedly appeal to Jurgen Klopp.

Spanish publication Sport claims that Max could be available for around €20 million (£18 million), and in today’s day and age, that would represent excellent value for money for Liverpool, especially considering the fact that he can play in up to three different positions.
The Reds will reportedly face strong competition from Barcelona for the German’s signature, however.
So Klopp will have to pull out all the stops to bring his fellow countryman to Liverpool this summer.
