According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool are in talks to play not one but two pre-season friendlies against bitter rivals Manchester United.
Its stated that the two clubs are negotiating terms to face off at Old Trafford in July and then Anfield in August.
With fans potentially allowed back inside stadiums this summer, the two sides seemingly want to get supporters in for two big friendlies ahead of the Premier League season.
Usually we see United and Liverpool friendlies taking place abroad; the game has been played in America before, for instance.
Now though, the two sides are surprisingly looking to play each other twice before the Premier League season even kicks off.
This may not go down well with some, especially just days after the drama surrounding the European Super League.

Both clubs attempted to break away from the Premier League and form a closed-off league full of riches, but the idea has now been kiboshed after fan backlash.
The next best thing may simply be to play some money-spinning friendlies against each other, especially with fans allowed back in.
It will again feel like money is the most important thing rather than actually preparing for the season, and some may even feel like playing each other in multiple meaningless games may cheapen the long-standing rivalry between United and Liverpool.
