Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur both want to sign the Fulham ace, according to reports.

Ryan Sessegnon of Fulham looks on during the pre-season friendly between Reading and Fulham at the EBB Stadium on July 14, 2018 in Aldershot, England.

According to Bleacher Report, a primary objective for Liverpool this summer is to sign another left-back, and one of their potential targets is Fulham ace Ryan Sessegnon, who has been linked heavily with Tottenham over this past month.

The 19-year-old has actually operated as a left winger in recent times, but both the Reds and Spurs believe that his future lies in the left-back position.

Tottenham will only need a new left-back this summer if they sell Danny Rose, whilst Liverpool’s need for someone like Sessegnon seems to be more urgent.

Bleacher Report claims that the teenager would choose to join Spurs over the Reds, however, as he would prefer to stay in London.

According to the Daily Mail, Fulham will demand as much as £35 million for the England under-21 international this summer, and that would represent decent value for money for Liverpool and Tottenham.

Sessegnon is a real talent, and he would be a great addition for whichever club wins the race for his signature.

His ability to play at left-back or left-wing will surely appeal to both Mauricio Pochettino and Jurgen Klopp, and his £35 million price-tag should not prove to be a problem for either Tottenham or Liverpool.

It will most likely come down to where the player himself wants to move to, and judging by Bleacher Report’s latest update, the north London outfit hold the advantage over the Merseyside club.
