Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have made direct contact with the agent of Khephren Thuram, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian journalist has reported on Twitter that Liverpool have made contact with the agent of Khephren Thuram again this week.
The former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners are keen on signing the 22-year-old France international midfielder from Nice in the summer transfer window.
Liverpool are now discussing internally over making bids for Thuram as well as for Manu Kone of Borussia Monchengladbach.
Romano wrote on Twitter (7:28am, June 6, 2023): “Liverpool have been in direct contact with both Manu Koné and Khephren Thuram agents again this week. #LFC
“Internal discussion taking place over official proposals. Liverpool asked for some time to close in on Mac Allister deal then decide on new midfielders.”

Could Liverpool sign Khephren Thuram from Nice?
In our view, Liverpool could be able to sign Khephren Thuram from Nice in the summer transfer window.
Nice are an established club in Ligue 1, but they are not averse to selling any of their best players.
If Liverpool make a bid offer for Thuram, then it is very likely that they will be able to bring him to Anfield.
A move from Nice to Liverpool could be hugely appealing to the 22-year-old as well.
After all, Liverpool are a massive club and a global brand.
Thuram has made 30 starts and five substitute appearances in Ligue 1 for Nice this season.
The youngster has scored two goals and given four assists in those games.
