According to TSN, Liverpool would be interested in signing Lille forward Jonathan David if the French champions decided to sell him.
What’s the story?
Well, TSN believe that Lille are struggling financially.
As a result, they could be forced to sell their biggest assets, with David among their most exciting – and expensive – players.
The 16-cap Canada international scored 13 goals in 37 Ligue 1 appearances last season, as Lille beat Paris Saint-Germain to the Ligue 1 title.
TSN add that Liverpool have long been keeping an eye on David’s development, and could make a move if he becomes available.
Lille paid €30m (£26m) for the 21-year-old as recently as August.
However, due to the financial impacts of COVID-19, their time with the striker could be short lived.
Who does Jonathan David play like?

You might be wondering why a team with the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane have a 21-year-old high on their list of targets.
Well, David isn’t just a normal 21-year-old.
The attacker was named Canadian Player of the Year in 2019, and has also earned comparisons to Liverpool icon Luis Suarez.
When writing a detailed tactical analysis, Smarter Scout discovered that David’s playing style is most similar to the Uruguayan.

In our view, Liverpool need David.
Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri aren’t good enough to challenge Salah, Mane, Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino for game time.
In that respect, Jürgen Klopp needs some fresh blood in attack.
