Liverpool have a ‘huge advantage’ in the race to sign Talles Magno, as he wants a move to Anfield, according to EsporteNews in Brazil.
Liverpool are apparently fighting with Bayer Leverkusen, Benfica, Juventus and Lazio for his signature – but it is the Reds who are front runners to sign him.
The Vasco da Gama forward is only 18, and does not have much first-team experience behind him, but he is touted as one of the most exciting talents in South America.
And Liverpool’s scouts apparently see the striker as someone who could improve their first-team squad over the years ahead.
Liverpool have been reluctant to invest big fees this summer, but may see Talles Magno as a potential long-term investment.
The transfer won’t come cheaply though, as Vasco De Gama are said to be demanding £27 million for their striker (Esporte News).

If Talles Magno was to arrive at Liverpool he would likely be seen as a player for the future, rather than one to immediately impact on their first-team.
But his ability to play right across the front-line would offer Liverpool more cover in attack, and he could have the perfect role model to learn off at Anfield, with compatriot Roberto Firmino already at the club.
