Aston Villa’s Jordan Amavi
Liverpool have recently been linked with a move for Aston Villa defender Jordan Amavi. It was reported by French paper L’Equipe this week that Liverpool – along with AC Milan and Lyon – had made an enquiry for the Villa star.
It seemed like a good deal on paper, but now the Liverpool Echo have made it unequivocally clear that there is no interest from Jurgen Klopp’s side in the Frenchman.

They claim that no enquiry has been lodged and there will not be one – as Liverpool are simply not interested in signing the player.
Liverpool are believed to be in the market for a new left-back at the moment, after some poor form from Alberto Moreno toward the end of the season – including a woeful display in the Europa League final defeat to his former club Sevilla.
The L’Equipe report suggested Liverpool were ready to spend around £10.8 million to bring in the player this summer.

However, it is now clear that will not be the case.
Amavi looked like being one of the few good signings from Villa this season before suffering a campaign-ending knee injury in November.
