Liverpool had gone as far as scheduling a medical for Lloyd Kelly last year, before he changed his mind about the transfer, according to The Times.
Liverpool had considered Kelly as an option at left-back this summer, but his past history with the club stood against him.
The £13m Bournemouth defender was ever so close to a move to Liverpool in 2019, but the deal fell through at the last minute.
The Reds had gone as far as booking a medical for the 21-year-old, but the player seemingly pulled out of a move to Anfield, and ultimately moved to Bournemouth just weeks later.
Liverpool, therefore, opted to go for Kostas Tsimikas instead of Kelly this summer, as the club still feel they were ‘messed around’ by him last year.

Tsimikas doesn’t have the Premier League experience of Kelly, but he is arguably a more natural left-back than the English youth international.
Kelly has shown plenty of promise during his first season at Bournemouth, but the youngster doesn’t quite have the same attacking attributes of Liverpool’s newest recruit.
