The striker says a move to loan employers Sevilla has already been agreed for next season.
Liverpool forward Iago Aspas has confirmed to ESPN that he will be leaving the club in the summer.
The Spaniard is currently on loan with La Liga side Sevilla, having struggled for the Reds last season as fellow forwards Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez impressed.
His time in Spain has not exactly been a glorious one, with just two goals in 15 league games, but he has confirmed that the club will be making his move a permanent one when the transfer window re-opens.
“I am a Sevilla player for next season,” he said.
“The transfer [fee] is to be paid this summer. I am very happy at Sevilla, they received me with open arms, and I hope to keep paying them back for many years.”
The forward does, however, believe that he has unfinished business at Anfield, feeling he could have brought much more to the side if given the chance.
The Reds have struggled for goals this season after selling Suarez to Barcelona and seeing Daniel Sturridge forced onto the sidelines for much of the season through a succession of injuries.
The likes of Mario Balotelli, Rickie Lambert and Fabio Borini have all failed to step up in the absence of Sturridge, with Raheem Sterling often filling in as a makeshift centre forward.
And Aspas certainly believes he would have gotten more game time this season in light of Sturridge’s absence.
“I do have unfinished business,” he added.
“I felt I could bring much more things to the team, if I had been given more playing time. I think that if I’d been at Liverpool this year I would have played a lot more games, with Sturridge’s injury and Suarez not being there.”
