The Liverpool midfielder is reportedly keen to make the move to the Nou Camp.
According to Spanish publication Sport, Liverpool are fearful that Philippe Coutinho wants to leave the club to test himself at Barcelona.
The Brazilian has been in fine form for the Reds this season, establishing himself as the star man in Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Saturday evening saw him playing a starring role once again as he set up two goals in his team’s 4-2 win over Crystal Palace.
Those assists took him to four assists and four goals in his first ten games this season.

His displays have earned positive reviews from fans and pundits alike, with Phil Thompson recently telling Sky Sports “he could play in that Barcelona team, Real Madrid team, he has great ability.”
And it transpires that the Reds are fearful of just that, with Sport reporting that the club are worried Coutinho is open to a move to Barcelona.

The newspaper claims that the player would like to make the move to the Nou Camp at some point, where his style would fit in well with their superstars.
Indeed, they report that the player’s advisors Kia Joorabchian and Giuliano Bertolucci are keen to get him the big money switch and were in contact with the Catalan club last year. However, they elected against a move as they had other priorities.
Luis Enrique’s team are not the only ones to have been sounded out either, with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-German also thought to be possible destinations.
As a counteract to that, Liverpool are reportedly planning to offer Coutinho new contract, despite him signing a deal until 2020 just last year.
