Liverpool now reportedly face competition for RB Salzburg star Karim Adeyemi from French giants PSG.
According to Sky Sports Austria, the 19-year-old attacker has caught the eye of the Ligue 1 side. Adeyemi is one of the hottest properties in European football, with the teenager bagging 14 goals in all competitions this season.
Liverpool are one of the sides keen on the youngster. However, the Reds face stern competition from Borussia Dortmund, and now the Ligue 1 titans. As per the report, Salzburg find PSG’s interest in Adeyemi ‘very interesting’.
The attacker will not come cheap, though. According to Sky Germany, the Austrian Bundesliga champions could demand up to €40m (£34m) for Adeyemi, a larger fee than what Patson Daka and Erling Haaland left for.
Indeed, the Reds could be willing to cough up the fee for Adeyemi, though. At 19, the attacker has plenty of time to develop. And given his goalscoring record and physical traits, Jurgen Klopp could morph that attacker into the perfect Liverpool forward.
But interest from Dortmund and now the Ligue 1 side could complicate matters. With Kylian Mbappe set to leave PSG next summer, Adeyemi could be a potential replacement for the attacker.
Liverpool have to beat PSG to Adeyemi signing

Adeyemi’s value and hype around Europe seems to increase with each passing week. And for Liverpool, they need to ensure that they are the side who end up winning the race for the striker’s signature.
PSG will no doubt be an alluring prospect for Adeyemi. Yet for the Reds, they can offer the Germany international a better chance to play regular football as well as develop under one of the best coaches in world football in Klopp.
