Liverpool are reportedly lurking in the race for Bruno Fernandes.

According to Portuguese newspaper Correio de Manha, Liverpool are looking to get in ahead of Tottenham Hotspur in the race for Bruno Fernandes.
Fernandes, 24, has emerged as one of the finest playmakers in Europe having smashed 32 goals in 53 games for Sporting this season, as well as adding 18 assists.
Contributing 50 goals in 53 games is staggering form, and it’s no great surprise that the Portuguese international is now attracting major interest.
Correio de Manha report that Spurs want Fernandes, but are hesitating about a move as they decide whether to move for him or Real Betis playmaker Giovani Lo Celso.
That may allow other clubs to sneak in, with Liverpool allegedly lurking with intent as they look to get in and take Fernandes to Anfield instead.
This would be a smart move from Liverpool. Since losing Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona in January 2018, Liverpool have lacked a real technical, creative midfield player to supply their front three.

Adding Fernandes would be ideal, joining the likes of Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum, Naby Keita, James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain whilst bringing something a little different.
His passing, crossing, set piece delivery, long-range shooting and drive from midfield would give Jurgen Klopp a player in some way comparable to Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne, and beating Tottenham to his signature would be even sweeter.
