According to The Sunday Mirror (13/12, p73), Liverpool want to sign Brighton and Hove Albion duo Ben White and Yves Bissouma.
It’s claimed that the Reds may well attempt to sign both players in a double raid on the Seagulls.
Centre back White is thought to be a prime target for Liverpool in what is becoming a position of major concern with Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez both out injured.
White’s ability on the ball makes him ideal for the Liverpool setup, whilst he also has the pace to play in Jurgen Klopp’s high line.
Meanwhile, boss Klopp has allegedly received ‘glowing’ reports about Bissouma, who is also wanted by Arsenal.
The 24-year-old has impressed as a ball-carrier in midfield, showcasing real talent on the ball whilst being combative enough for a box-to-box role.
With Naby Keita regularly injured and Georginio Wijnaldum out of contract in the summer, Bissouma could emerge as a prime target for Klopp in something of a shuttling midfield role.

So how much would the pair cost? Brighton rejected around £30million from Leeds United for White over the summer, before he signed a new deal with the club.
Brighton would surely demand £40million to £50million for White, and paid £15million for Bissouma in 2018, so would surely be looking to double their money.
That would push a double move up towards around £75million, which would be a huge outlay from Liverpool – but if they think White and Bissouma are the right players, then paying up a big fee could materialise.
