Italian outlet CMW claim that Liverpool are targeting a £57million move for Juventus defender Gleison Bremer ahead of the January window – with the Brazil international said to be ‘teasing the imagination’ of the Liverpool manager.
Bremer, 25, was only bought by Juventus in the summer from Torino – after plenty of links with the Premier League. He has joined a Juventus side that are struggling and in order to transition, need to sell a few players to bring some in.
The centre-back is unlikely to be one of those. He has only just joined, and is young enough to remain at Juve and be a part of the new era. He has signed a contract until 2027. But that has not stopped Liverpool from showing interest.
The report says Klopp would love to have Bremer at his disposal and for Juventus, every player has his price. If Juve receive an offer in the region of £57million – having bought him for around £35million – they would sanction his exit.

Do Liverpool need a centre-back? Well, Joe Gomez has come back into the side – more because of injuries. The Reds have looked poor at the back. Virgil van Dijk is certainly not at his best. Is it just a spell – or is he past his best now?
Joel Matip remains injured. Ibrahima Konate is back and still learning his trade, but he is sure to be the future of the Liverpool defence. So, Matip injury prone, van Dijk struggling and Gomez – both of the above. Bremer would be ideal.
If the Reds could bring the Juventus ace to the Premier League, it would certainly solidify what has been a leaky defence so far. But it is a lot of money, when there are other areas of the team that certainly require strengthening.
