Liverpool have been linked with a summer swoop for the Lyon ace.

According to a report from the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool duo Virgil van Dijk and Gini Wijnaldum are big fans of reported Jurgen Klopp target Memphis Depay.
The Holland international is a summer transfer target for the Reds, according to French media outlet Mercato365.
The 25-year-old has been in excellent form for Lyon this season, racking up and impressive 12 goals and 16 assists in 47 appearances in all competitions, and he would undoubtedly be a useful addition for Liverpool.
Depay could be available for around £50 million this summer, according to the Mirror, and despite his fine form for Lyon, that might just be classed as somewhat of a risk, considering his past struggles in England with Manchester United.
According to the Liverpool Echo, however, two Liverpool players believe that the Lyon ace would be worth every penny.
The Liverpool-based tabloid claims that Virgil van Dijk and Gini Wijnaldum both rate Depay very highly.

There will definitely be Reds fans who are dubious about the Dutchman, but he does seem to be a more mature character now, and he could be a real hit at Anfield.
Whether he is worth Liverpool taking a risk for £50 million, however, is another matter entirely.
