According to the Daily Mail, Wolverhampton Wanderers would like to sign Divock Origi in the January transfer window – but only on loan.
It’s claimed that Liverpool are willing to part with Origi in January, and have put a £20million price tag on his head.
Wolves are in the market for a striker, but don’t want to pay the £20million; in fact, they’d rather not sign him permanently as things stand.
They want the Belgian on loan for the rest of the season, and that makes some sense given their striking options right now.
Raul Jimenez is out and nobody really knows when he will be back, so a loan to tide Wolves over until his return adds up.
Youngster Fabio Silva has shown potential, so Wolves won’t want to sign another long-term striker to block his progress, with Origi on loan potentially ideal.

The 25-year-old has played just seven minutes of Premier League action this season, and clearly needs football if he is to progress.
A loan move to Wolves would help get him in the shop window, but much will depend on whether Liverpool are prepared to let him go without raking in that £20million fee.
