Liverpool have been dealt another crushing injury blow, as Jordan Henderson is set to miss their next four matches, the Daily Mail say.
Liverpool are set to have Henderson take a scan today to assess the severity of his adductor problem.
But the Reds are not expecting a positive outcome and they do not think he will be able to play in their next Champions League match, which comes in the middle of March.
If that is to be the case then Henderson will miss Liverpool’s next four games, which is a huge blow, as they are under severe pressure to turn things around.
The Reds lost their fourth game in a row at the weekend, as they were beaten by Everton in the Merseyside derby.
Without Henderson Klopp is now set to be forced to pick a very inexperienced backline, with his options severely limited.
Ozan Kabak, Nathaniel Phillips and Rhys Williams are his only fit options in the position right now, with Ben Davies also expected to return soon.
Any combination that Klopp picks in defence is completely unproven and Liverpool can ill-afford any more defeats.
The Reds are going to have to show some strong form between now and the end of the season if they are to fight their way back into the top four, and without Henderson their task looks even more difficult.
