Liverpool play host to Leicester City in the Premier League tomorrow night.

According to a report from the Sun, Liverpool have been dealt a potentially major blow with the news that Virgil van Dijk could miss tomorrow night’s clash with Leicester City due to illness.
The 27-year-old joined the Reds from Southampton in January 2018, for a fee believed to be worth somewhere in the region of £75 million, according to BBC Sport, and he has gone on to establish himself as a truly world-class centre-back at Anfield.
Van Dijk is an absolute colossus, and it could be argued that he has actually been Liverpool’s most important player so far this season.
Jürgen Klopp’s men currently sit at the top of the Premier League table, four points clear of second placed Manchester City, but that lead will be cut to just one point, if Pep Guardiola’s men win away at Newcastle tonight.
If Liverpool are to have any chance of winning the title this season, they will need Van Dijk to be on his very best form between now and the end of the season.

The Sun claims that they might have to do without him tomorrow night against Leicester, however.
And that could be a hugely significant blow to Liverpool’s hopes of maintaining their four point lead at the top of the table.
