Liverpool are open to selling Sheyi Ojo, Nat Phillips, Herbie Kane and Ben Woodburn this summer as part of an extensive Anfield clear-out, according to Goal.
While Jurgen Klopp has certainly had to make full use of his squad of late, fielding a team of teenagers during cup clashes with Aston Villa and Shrewsbury Town, it seems that the time is ripe for a bit of spring cleaning.
And, with Neco Williams, Leighton Clarkson, Jake Cain, Harvey Elliott and co expected to climb up the ladder next season, four more Merseyside-based youngsters might have to look elsewhere in search of first-team football.
Goal says that Ojo, Phillips, Kane and record-breaker Woodburn are all available, either on loan or for permanent moves.
All four spent some time away from Anfield in 2020 – with rather mixed results.
Ojo endured an underwhelming spell north of the border at Steven Gerrard’s Rangers with that wondergoal winner against Dutch giants Feyenoord in the Europa League very much an anomalie.

Woodburn, the youngest goalscorer in Liverpool’s history, didn’t exactly set the world alight at Oxford United either, finding the net just once in 16 games in the third-tier.
Kane and Phillips found form easier to come by during their respective spells at Hull and Stuttgart, however, with the latter helping the German giants seal promotion back to the Bundesliga.
Of the aforementioned quintet, centre-half Phillips is perhaps the most surprising name to appear on the transfer list – especially after he produced a performance of maturity and class to help a youthful Liverpool side knock rivals Everton out of the FA Cup in January.
“He’s our boy, he’s on loan at Stuttgart and is doing really well there,” Klopp told Liverpool’s website.
“They are a football-playing side and Nat is doing there really, really well.”
