Liverpool could sell Nathaniel Phillips in the summer transfer window for £8 million, according to a report.

The Athletic journalist James Pearce has reported today that Liverpool could sell the 26-year-old central defender if they receive a transfer fee of £8 million.

Pearce wrote: “Then you’ve got Nat Phillips who will probably go for around £8million.”

Liverpool should ask for more than £8m for Nathaniel Phillips

In our view, Liverpool should ask for more than £8 million for Nathaniel Phillips.

Yes, the defender is not a regular in the Liverpool first team.

He is essentially a squad player.

However, the defender has played in the Premier League and in the UEFA Champions League for Liverpool.

And he has done a good job for the Reds.

We believe that Liverpool should look for more than £8 million for a defender described by manager Jurgen Klopp as “unbelievable” in Goal.com in April 2021.

Phillips has made 19 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

The 26-year-old has scored one goal and created one big chance in those games.

During the 2020-21 season, Phillips made three appearances in the UEFA Champions League, while in 2021-22, he made one start and one substitute appearance in the UEFA Champions League for Liverpool.
