According to ESPN, Liverpool could sell Ben Davies in the January transfer window.
The report has claimed that the signing of Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig in the summer transfer window means that Liverpool have a surplus of centre-backs.
Davies is among the defenders that Liverpool could listen to offers for this summer, according to the report.
The report seems to contradict what was reported about Davies last month.
The Athletic reported last month that regarding the the former Preston North End defender, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp sees parallels with how Andy Robertson needed time to adjust to the team’s style of play.
Klopp himself described the 25-year-old central defender as “a really good player” in March, as quoted on This is Anfield.
Davies joined Liverpool from Preston in the January transfer window.

The defender has yet to play for the Reds, having had injury and fitness issues.
The 25-year-old was a stop-gap signing.
Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip injuries meant that Liverpool needed to sign at least one centre-back.
With Konate joining the Reds now, it is really hard to see Davies even get into the Liverpool matchday squads.
