Liverpool could miss out on Roma goalkeeper Alisson.

According to The Mirror, Liverpool could miss out on Roma goalkeeper Alisson, with Real Madrid now the favourites to secure his signature this summer.
The Reds have seen Loris Karius supplant Simon Mignolet as Jurgen Klopp’s first choice goalkeeper in recent weeks, but there is still the possibility of a big summer move for a new shot-stopper.
Stoke City’s Jack Butland has been mentioned as one target, but the most popular name in recent weeks has been Roma’s Alisson, with a world-record fee for a goalkeeper now mentioned.

Now though, it’s claimed that Liverpool could miss out on the Brazilian, with Real Madrid now leading the chase to splash £70million on the goalkeeper this summer.
Two targets to slip the net?
Alisson, 25, spent most of last season sitting behind Wojciech Szczesny, as he had a fairly slow start to life with Roma following his move from Internacional.

Now, Alisson is one of the top keepers in Italy and the world, and will be vying with Manchester City stopper Ederson to be Brazil’s number one at the World Cup in Russia this summer.
Liverpool may have been hoping to splash the cash and lure Alisson to Anfield before the World Cup, but with Real Madrid seemingly giving up hope of landing David De Gea, they are now the favourites to land Alisson this summer.
It’s noted that Liverpool are eyeing Bayer Leverkusen’s Bernd Leno as a backup option to Alisson, but with Napoli keen on the German too, the Reds may miss out on their top two goalkeeper targets.
