Liverpool could have to pay £24.5 million back to TV companies if there is another delay to the Premier League restart, according to the Daily Mail.

As it stands, England’s top flight is due to return on June 17th, but Liverpool could be hit harder than any other Premier League club if that date is put back again.

Premier League clubs face paying £330 million to TV broadcasters if the season is put back any further.

And Liverpool will be disproportionately affected by the repayment process.

While teams near the bottom will have to pay less than £10 million, Liverpool could be hit with a £24.5 million bill.

That could be a blow to Liverpool’s finances if it does happen and could potentially weaken their strength in the transfer window.

The Reds are not thought to have limitless cash to spend this summer, although they appear to be open to making additions currently.

Liverpool have been linked with the likes of Kalidou Koulibaly, Timo Werner and Kai Havertz, and the trio would all cost sizeable fees.
