Sampdoria are reportedly willing to sign the forward.

Liverpool may actually be able to offload Mario Balotelli, according to outlet Sport MediaSet, but there may be a cost on the Reds’ part.

Balotelli has spent the season on loan at AC Milan and it looks highly unlikely the Italian will remain with the club, with all the signs pointing to a return to Merseyside this summer. He returned to Milan on a loan deal just a season after a £16 million move to Liverpool.

But Sampdoria are prepared to take the player on, but do not want to pay a single penny for him, meaning that Liverpool may have to cancel his contract in order to get him off their books ahead of the new season.

It’s highly unlikely that a player like Balotelli would be suited to the kind of game that Klopp wants to play at Liverpool – which features a high degree of work rate which isn’t something the forward has been renowned for throughout his career thus far.

It seems as though nobody really wants to take the forward off Liverpool, and given the desperation for the Reds to offload him, any kind of fee they receive is going to be minimal if at all, unless an offer comes in from one of the Chinese clubs who seem to have plenty of money at their disposal at the moment, which the Daily Star adds may become an option in the future.
