Liverpool have wanted Evan Ndicka for years and could finally sign the Eintracht Frankfurt defender this summer.

Liverpool chasing Evan Ndicka deal

The Mirror report that Liverpool are in the race to sign Ndicka on a free transfer at the end of the season.

It’s suggested that Liverpool have been interested in Ndicka for years now.

Ndicka put himself onto Liverpool’s radar during his early days at Auxerre.

Ndicka emerged with Auxerre between 2016 and 2018, earning France youth caps along the way.

Eintracht Frankfurt pounced to sign Ndicka but Liverpool seemingly haven’t stopped tracking the defender.

Now in the final months of his Frankfurt deal, Ndicka is set to become a free agent.

Liverpool are hoping to win the race and finally bring Ndicka to Anfield, bolstering Jurgen Klopp’s back line.

Arsenal have also targeted Ndicka

Ndicka, 23, has been one of the Bundesliga’s top defenders in recent years.

A naturally left-sided defender with great size at 6ft 4in tall, Ndicka has also shown himself to be quick and comfortable on the ball.

Hailed as ‘outstanding’ by Sport1’s Christopher Michel, Ndicka seems primed for a Premier League move.

Liverpool could be his destination but other clubs are keen too.

Frankfurter Rundschau noted in January that Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are all interested in Ndicka.

Transfer insider Dean Jones, who was speaking to Give Me Sport in December, even suggested that it was ‘starting to look like’ Arsenal would secure Ndicka’s signature.

Arsenal went and signed another left-footed defender in January though as Jakub Kiwior arrived from Spezia.

We can’t see Arsenal going for Ndicka after that deal, especially with another left-footer already in place in Gabriel Magalhaes.

There will be plenty of interest in Ndicka but Liverpool may well be able to finally sign the Frenchman after all.
