According to Bleacher Report, Liverpool could look to take Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele on loan with a view to a permanent move.
It’s claimed that RB Leipzig attacker Timo Werner wants to join Liverpool this summer, but the €60million (£52million) release clause in his deal is a problem.
Liverpool may not be able to splash the cash this summer, and that means they need to look for cheaper options to bolster Jurgen Klopp’s attack.
One deal suggested is a loan move for Dembele, with the option of turning the deal permanent in a year’s time.
Klopp allegedly admires Dembele, and Barca would be open to letting him go. This would also allow Liverpool to bolster their attack for a year whilst possibly waiting for Werner.
His release clause drops by £18million in 2021, which would naturally be appealing to the Reds. With Werner rejecting Bayern Munich in order to push for a move to Anfield, he may be willing to wait too.

Dembele is an interesting prospect though. The Frenchman is undoubtedly talented, possessing great pace and skill, but a spate of injuries mean he has struggled to live up to his billing at Barca.
Dembele confirmed to Four Four Two in 2017 that he had held talks with Klopp about joining Liverpool, but had instead picked Dortmund. This may be a second chance for Dembele to join the Reds, but much will depend on Werner.
