CalcioMercato claim Europa League semi-finalists Eintracht Frankfurt are battling Liverpool to sign £5million-rated Aberdeen wonderkid Calvin Ramsay. The young full-back has been in stunning full-back in Scotland.
Ramsay, 18, broke into the Aberdeen side last season and clocked up six senior appearances – before becoming first choice this time around. He has played 31 times in all competitions, scoring once and laying on nine assists.
Little surprise then, that Liverpool are taking an interest. Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andy Robertson and Konstantinos Tsimikas are renowned for their assists – and Ramsay is showing the kind of potential similar to that.
The three-time Scotland Under-21 international is not only on Liverpool’s radar. Europa League semi-finalists – conquerors of Barcelona – Frankfurt, are also keen. In January, an Italian report said he would cost £5million.
Il Resto Del Carlino also said Leicester, Leeds and Manchester United have been taking a look at Ramsay. His old Dons manager Stephen Glass said he was “brilliant” in August, and that he was going to be a “top, top player”.

It would see the young right-back learn from the best, and fellow Scot Robertson. Indeed, Liverpool is the perfect system for Ramsay to eventually shine – and the Reds could do with cover on the right side of the defence.
Joe Gomez is a centre-back and could go in the summer, while Neco Williams might stay at Fulham, who are closing in on promotion. But Ramsay would have to be content and patient over a first-team chance.
