According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool are now considering other options away from Schalke defender Ozan Kabak.

It’s claimed that Liverpool have been interested in Kabak, but are now looking at other options to bolster their defensive depth.

The Reds have been linked with a host of centre backs since Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez picked up major knee injuries, with Kabak one of the main candidates.

However, Liverpool are thought to be turning their attention elsewhere, meaning Kabak could end up joining another club in January or at the end of the season.

Crystal Palace have allegedly joined the race, with the Eagles keen to bring down the average age of their squad in 2021.

Manchester United, Leicester City and RB Leipzig are also keen, with a belief that Kabak will be available for just £25million.

Schalke have been truly dismal over the last year, but Kabak remains one of the most highly-regarded young defenders despite those struggles.

The Turkish international has shown huge potential at just 20 years of age, and having shown he is quick, strong and aggressive, he’s a man in demand – but don’t expect to see him at Liverpool any time soon if this report is correct.
