According to Asist Analiz, Liverpool will be scouting Uğurcan Çakır tomorrow when Turkey take on Norway in their World Cup qualifier.
The Turkish news outlet also claim that Chelsea, West Brom and Brighton will be in attendance to watch the 24-year-old in action.
Interestingly, the 5-cap Turkey international is a teammate of Ozan Kabak at international level.
In that respect, if Liverpool truly are interested, perhaps the young centre-back could put in a good word about what it’s like to play for the Reds.
Asist Analiz add that RB Leipzig and Sevilla will also be watching the shot-stopper, who impressed in Turkey’s 4-2 win over the Netherlands.
In our view, Liverpool simply do not need Çakır.

They have Alisson Becker, who is arguably the best goalkeeper in Europe, while young Caoimhin Kelleher doesn’t deserve to see his game time limited by a new arrival.
The same could be said about Chelsea.
The Blues have the in-form Edouard Mendy, and a £71 million glovesman in Kepa Arrizabalaga waiting in reserve.

West Brom and Brighton are far more suitable destinations for Çakır.
Admittedly, they have the impressive Sam Johnstone and Robert Sanchez in between the sticks respectively.
However, behind those two, the Baggies and the Seagulls lack reliable options who can provide proper competition.
